Ólafur Arnalds
I first heard this young Icelandic composer's Eulogy for Evolution last summer. Every time I hear "1440", the dramatic shift at 4'04 gets me in a way that only a handful of other songs can. Last week, he released a free song each day. While they are quickly-finished versions of unfinished sketches lying around, the set is far from a toss-off curio for die-hard fans. No, these are some very beautiful songs that would be worth paying for. BUT THEY'RE FREE! To download these lovely Found Songs, click HERE. Also, I highly recommend Eulogy for Evolution and the Variations Of Static EP
