As Jeff Tweedy sings on Wilco (The Album)’s incredibly self-aware opener, “Wilco will love you, baby.” Appropriate, as the band has been consistent in quality over the course of six studio albums and a live release, and their latest is no exception. After the critical and popular backlash following 2007’s mundane Sky Blue Sky, listeners have no doubt been curious to see where Wilco would take their ever-evolving sound for this record.
